I remember the first time I saw one of Melissa Averinos ‘Face’ quilts. Years ago I was at the quilt show in Sisters, Oregon. Of the many beautiful creations, this face quilt stayed with me. Little did I know Melissa taught workshops and had written a book taking all the mystery out of her process. What I love about this book is that it doesn’t assume you know all about constructing the face and she takes time to show how you can be successful in making your own original work. I am hoping to use this book with my grandchildren and the wild amount of scraps I’ve acquired through the years. Thank you Melissa for taking the time to put all these details in print. I’m excited to give my own face quilt a try. (So much better than a quilt kit!).
*timeless information *great resource material for creating.
