my book! Making Faces in Fabric (signed copy)

I wrote this book for people who couldn't take my signature class Making Faces with Melissa in person. It really is that workshop in book form.

Sad Face

My book still hasn’t arrived. 🧐. I know I will love it when it finds me. The class was fabulous. Exactly what I was hoping for!

Hey Cheryl! What a bummer! It got sent back to me for THE SECOND TIME so I just re-updated the new (correct address) and reshipped a third time. It should get there quickly because I am shipping it priority instead of media mail. Third time's the charm, right?! I am so happy that you loved the class - it was a blast! Thank you for leaving the kind review even though you haven't gotten the book yet! I know you'll love it! xoxoxo

Great Book!

I learned a lot from this book. Your instructions are easy to follow and now I find myself looking at people’s faces and thinking about how I would draw and collage them.

ha ha YESSS!! I do that alllll the time. That makes me happy!

Making Faces in Fabric is terrific

Having started adding fabric to my sketched face yet, but it's the next fabric project on my to-do list.
Super well written and FUN FUN FUN

Would have loved to take the class!

I’m excited to start a project making faces. I was introduced to this during a Crafty Monkies chat about Melissa’s class on making faces. I’m unable to take the class so bought the book because the idea intrigued me. The book looks great with clear instruction and lots of examples. Can’t wait to start!

Making Faces in Fabric - Book

I remember the first time I saw one of Melissa Averinos ‘Face’ quilts. Years ago I was at the quilt show in Sisters, Oregon. Of the many beautiful creations, this face quilt stayed with me. Little did I know Melissa taught workshops and had written a book taking all the mystery out of her process. What I love about this book is that it doesn’t assume you know all about constructing the face and she takes time to show how you can be successful in making your own original work. I am hoping to use this book with my grandchildren and the wild amount of scraps I’ve acquired through the years. Thank you Melissa for taking the time to put all these details in print. I’m excited to give my own face quilt a try. (So much better than a quilt kit!).

*timeless information *great resource material for creating.
