219: faux crazy nine

Good morning!

I just wanted to peek in and say hi.
I have some pictures to show you of Lemony Snippet and my killer goodie bag (from The Sampler, yes!) from the Craft Magazine party at Greenward, but I haven't uploaded them yet. I'll show you tomorrow, ok?

I love my sunny quilt top so much that I am going to make a bunch in different colors. I think the next one will be greeny-bluey since I already have these:

They are kind of crazy-nine-patch looking, but they are faux. I really don't like following directions, so I just make everything up.

Oooh! If I do a green one, I can incorporate some of these Jennifer Paganelli fabrics:

I would like to make a whole rainbow of these monochromatic (really, analogous, but whatever) quilts.
Pinky orange might trump greeny bluey, though. I do so love pink.

And a pinky quilt would allow me to use these new Park Slope fabrics by Erin McMorris:

Aren't they awesome? I just love these. Don't fret, I will be doing a giveaway soon. You know, just after I send out those packages from a couple of weeks ago. Eek! forgive me, I'm awful  about that!

You know, I really hope it rains today because the plants need watering and, well, I'm awful about that, too.

I hope  you have a lovely day, free from struggle and sprinkled with laughter.  I really do.

xo, m

I'm loving your lemony quilt, and the next one in progress too. I admire your ability to make things up - I'm more of an instructions person. Even if it's my own design, I have to write it out first. Silly me. BTW, those Park Slope fabrics are fabulous. Happy day!

I love the greens! You going to make me dig up my sewing machine from the depths of my "craft" room.

So inspiring.

Chickadee you crack me up! We are sisters in procrastination, I'm the master. It always annoys me to when I actually do what I procrastinated over and find that it wasn't that big of a bother to begin with...

Hope your day is wonderful and man I'm jealous of your wonderful designer stash, my husband limits my funds. I want to quilt so badly with a good stash. Must work on an etsy store maybe. Good to hear from you and see that you are doing better. HUGS!

I'm loving seeing your quilt in process pictures. I have to say that I think you inspired me....I want to start a lemony quilt. I've been working on two black and white quilts and it's time for COLOR now!!! I'm the opposite of you though....I need to have a pattern to follow or I'm lost. It's just because I don't trust myself enough to sit and just cut the fabric. One of these days I should just try it!

Your pictures are inspiring as always! I love the look of your quilts in progress - I have done a bit of both but usually I love to cut then sew, my own little assembly line. Thanks for sharing =)
